Registered Psychotherapist
Nancy offers client-centred, trauma-informed, and spiritually integrated psychotherapy, providing a compassionate and supportive space for healing and growth.
In working with individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds, Nancy draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), as well as narrative and existential therapies. By tailoring counselling to each person’s unique needs, Nancy ensures a holistic approach that honours the individuality of her clients while fostering growth and well-being.
With a rich background in education, faith-based contexts, and the non-profit sector, Nancy brings a depth of understanding to her work. She is experienced in couples counselling, grief, loss, and bereavement work and is especially attuned to the unique challenges that male clients often face. She is particularly interested in supporting those recovering from religious or spiritual trauma and helping people rediscover their connection to spirituality in a healthy and meaningful way.
Nancy holds advanced degrees in science (University of Toronto), education (Western University), theology and psychotherapy (Wilfrid Laurier University), with additional certification and training in EFT and ACT. She is a member of the Ontario College of Registered Psychotherapists and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
As Nancy believes, “When you get your, ‘Who am I?’ question right, all of your, ‘What should I do?’ questions tend to take care of themselves.” – Richard Rohr
