Mike specializes in working with Men and Women who struggle with anger issues, emotional outbursts, addiction, and relationship problems/instability. He also has a special interest in working with Police, First Responders, Members of the Canadian Armed Forces and Veterans. Mike has been a Registered Social Worker since 2005 and has worked in many different public settings with adults, teens, children and families, providing help to deal with mental health related problems. He has worked in hospital based mental health programs for both adults and children, the Thames Valley District School Board, Family and Children’s Services and the non-profit sector. His broad range of experience has led to a diverse training foundation. He utilizes various evidence based approaches in counselling, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brief Solution Focussed Therapy (BSFT), and Narrative Therapy.

​Mike has a Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) from King’s University College at Western University, as well as a Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Sociology degrees from McMaster University. He is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
